Okkie Jooster Camp
Okkie Jooster Camp was the most exciting event i had ever attend. I gained many experiences during this camp such as getting to know other people and learn to work with a team. Most of the activities that were done in this camp require time management e.g doing a breakfast or supper for other people. Jonger Hoek is surrounded by fascinating plants and river, and those are the most enthusiastic things that made the camp exciting. Studying different organisms found inside the water such as frogs and their different sounds was the most interesting part. However it was more fascinating to go near the river at night and try to listen to those different kinds of sounds. I was very amused when we were studying the moon and the stars because most of the thing that were taught there i had never experience or heard them before. Hiking was also interesting especially when we were studying different plants along the way and taking photographs. Dichotomous key was the most time consuming activity but it was not difficult at all. I was not much interested in the trapping of the mouses because i felt like we were disturbing their ecosystem because most of them were found dead inside those trapping box due to their fast metabolism.
